Responsibilities & Context

  • We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Engineer to oversee the establishment of a factory dedicated to producing knit and woven fabrics, primarily for the furniture manufacturing industry. This role requires expertise in project implementation, an in-depth understanding of fabric production processes, and specific knowledge of weaving machinery. We are looking for energetic, results-oriented professionals with a proven employment track record to join our team, which thrives in a friendly yet highly professional work culture.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the setup of woven and knit machinery to produce fabrics tailored for various applications, ensuring adherence to a proper master plan layout.
  • Weaving Machinery Expertise: In-depth knowledge of various types of looms including Weaving Looms, Shuttle Looms, Air Jet Looms, Water Jet Looms, Rapier Looms, and Jacquard Looms.
  • Yarn Development & Fabric Inspection: Understand the processes of yarn development and fabric inspection, and have familiarity with CAD systems used for creating patterns for Jacquard looms.
  • Weaving Machine Performance Analysis: Analyze machine performance to identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Optimization of Production Parameters: Adjust weaving parameters such as warp tension, weft insertion, and pick density to enhance fabric quality and production speed.
  • Process Improvement: Implement process improvements aimed at reducing waste and increasing overall productivity.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on yarn and fabric to ensure compliance with strength, evenness, and appearance specifications.
  • Defect Identification & Resolution: Identify and address defects such as broken ends, uneven selvedges, and fabric flaws, implementing corrective actions to maintain fabric quality.
  • Collaborate with Design Teams: Work with design teams to create new fabric structures and blends based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Fabric Development: Experiment with various yarn types, weaving patterns, and finishing techniques to achieve the desired properties in the fabric.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of emerging weaving technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative fabric development.
  • Innovative Product Development: Explore new yarn types and weaving techniques to create innovative fabric products that meet customer demands.
