Role Overview:
The Project Manager will lead and manage the Youth for Green Growth project, ensuring high-quality implementation, compliance with donor and CARE standards, and strong partnerships with SOS, government, and private sector stakeholders. The role focuses on youth skills development, job placement, entrepreneurship, and advocacy while mainstreaming gender equality, inclusion, and climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Management – 30%

• Plan, budget, and implement project activities in line with CARE, SOS, and donor requirements.

• Supervise, mentor, and build capacity of project staff.

• Develop annual work plans, schedules, and risk management frameworks.

• Apply adaptive management to respond to contextual changes.

2. Partnership & Coordination – 25%

• Serve as primary liaison with SOS and consortium partners for planning and implementation.

• Maintain relationships with DYD, NSDA, NYC, local governments, private sector, and civil society partners.

• Represent the project in national/regional forums, coalitions, and donor meetings.

3. Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance – 25%

• Provide guidance on youth employability, entrepreneurship, and green skills.

• Oversee design, delivery, and monitoring of training, job placement, and entrepreneurship services.

• Integrate gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate-smart practices.

• Conduct field visits to ensure quality, identify challenges, and provide technical backstopping.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Reporting – 15%

• Lead MEAL systems to ensure high-quality data collection and learning.

• Facilitate reflection and adaptive learning sessions with staff, partners, and youth.

• Document project outcomes for evidence-based scaling and donor engagement.

• Ensure accountability mechanisms such as grievance redress systems and youth perception surveys are functional.

5. Safety, Security & Safeguarding – 5%

• Adhere to CARE Bangladesh’s safety, security, and safeguarding policies.

• Promote ethical standards, prevent harassment, exploitation, abuse, and misconduct.

• Ensure the welfare and protection of children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
