  • Master's degree pass but MPH will be preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field. Maternal and child health/reproductive health relevant training. Applicants should have good computer knowledge, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, and excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential, as well as the ability to produce quality reports. A valid motorcycle driving license is required.

Responsibilities & Context

  • 1. Budgeting & Planning:
  • Develop and submit a UH&FWC-wise activity budget for the assigned area to the Program Manager (PM).
  • Facilitate and develop a UH&FWC-based operational plan aligned with the SR-MNCAH Project plan.
  • Assist UH&FWC Management Committees (MCs) in developing their Activity Plans and Development Plans.
  • 2. Monitoring & Implementation:
  • Prepare a monthly monitoring plan to assess the progress of UH&FWC activity implementation.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor SR-MNCAH Project activities and provide guidance to UH&FWC MCs.
  • Prepare periodic monitoring reports and share them with the MDC and relevant stakeholders.
  • 3. Stakeholder Engagement & Referral System:
  • Work with local government officials to establish functional referral mechanisms among UH&FWC, UHC, and District General Hospital.
  • Organize coordination meetings and ensure required logistics support.
  • Submit a monthly report on UH&FWC activities at the Upazila level to the PM.
  • 4. Capacity Building & Training:
  • Develop and implement a UH&FWC-wise capacity-building plan for health facility staff and community mobilization efforts.
  • Consolidate UH&FWC capacity-building plans into a quarterly plan for the assigned area.
  • Conduct and facilitate training/orientation sessions for UH&FWC staff and community groups based on government guidelines and project plans.
  • Prepare capacity-building reports and maintain a database of training events.
  • 5. Advocacy & Coordination:
  • Maintain close liaison with UH&FWC and UHC authorities, and actively participate in coordination meetings.
  • Advocate for SR-MNCAH Project initiatives, particularly capacity building of UH&FWC service providers.
  • Attend GO/NGO coordination meetings and report key outcomes to the Program Manager and project team.
  • 6. Program Development & Gender Mainstreaming:
  • Support the Program Manager in developing/revising strategies for gender mainstreaming in health interventions.
  • Assist midwives in identifying gaps in the SR-MNCAH Project design and implementation and provide input to address them.
  • Ensure budgetary provisions for UH&FWCs and stakeholders are aligned with SR-MNCAH Project guidelines.
  • 7. Integration of Ethical & Spiritual Values:
  • Incorporate spiritual aspects in performance planning and reflect the same in program implementation.
