Job Title: Project Officer – Advocacy Duty Station: Country Office, Dhaka Reporting To: Manager – DRM and Climate Change Contract Duration: Three years

Working Conditions: The position will primarily be based at the Country Office in Dhaka, with regular field visits and visits to government institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs), NGOs, project partners, and other relevant stakeholders as required.

Position Purpose:

The Project Officer – Advocacy will contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of advocacy initiatives under the project “Empowering Civil Society for Climate Justice and Environment Protection.” The role aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) and Environmental Human Rights Defenders (EHRDs), promote climate justice and environmental protection, and address challenges related to climate-induced displacement. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing advocacy strategies, conducting evidence-based research, facilitating capacity-building initiatives, supporting digital communication and knowledge management, and coordinating with consortium partners and relevant stakeholders to advance environmental rights and climate justice in Bangladesh.
