- Knowledge on anticipatory action and forecast of BMD will be preferred·
- Basic knowledge on disaster management system at local level specifically UDMC and UZDMC.
- Good team member and skill team management and coordination skill with the government and other disaster relevant stakeholders.
- Good in communication skills specifically presentation and capacity building of the staff·
- Experience working with government/governance stakeholders at a local level·
- Experience working within the NGO context at a field level.

Responsibilities & Context
Project Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as city corporations, waste processing companies, waste aggregator associations, waste management committees, local elites, and waste collectors.
- Organize consultative workshops and inception meetings to raise awareness and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Communicate project outcomes and results to all relevant parties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with public-private sectors and partner organizations.
- Strengthen associations for informal waste collectors, including aggregators, pickers, and brokers.
Timely Project Implementation:
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing and ensuring the timely implementation of project-based planning.
- Oversee the formation of clusters in project areas and build relationships with actors in the waste value chain.
- Ensure the capacity building of waste collectors, aggregators, and associations through training and workshops.
- Implement real-time tracking systems for plastic waste and PET bottle collection.
- Supervise the timely collection of PET bottles/plastic and provide processing training to waste aggregators and collectors.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Reporting:
- Develop a detailed implementation plan (DIP) and monthly activity plan in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Monitor progress and achievements against targets to ensure quality work.
- Provide feedback to the Project Manager and team to ensure timely target achievement.
- Conduct participatory needs assessments and develop action plans based on findings.
- Regularly monitor PET bottle collection progress and supply to companies.
- Prepare quarterly, interim, and final project assessment reports, along with other required documentation.
- Ensure timely reporting of field activities and maintain effective communication with donors regarding project progress and challenges.
Communication, Coordination, and Linkage:
- Maintain effective communication with donors regarding project progress and challenges.
- Develop and disseminate communication materials, such as advertisements, posters, stickers, and audio-visual content.
- Utilize print and electronic media, including social media, for communication and outreach.
- Develop Terms of Reference (ToR), press releases, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors for reporting and communication needs.
- Organize learning dissemination workshops as part of advocacy initiatives to sensitize stakeholders, particularly city corporations.
- Conduct mass awareness campaigns on proper plastic waste disposal.
Personnel/Staff Management:
- Supervise and support community mobilizers by providing training, orientation, coaching, and meetings.
- Identify challenges faced by community mobilizers and develop solutions to overcome obstacles and enhance performance.
- Lead and coach the multidisciplinary, intercultural, and inter-gender project team in alignment with Cordaid’s management style.
- Foster productivity, professional development, and employee satisfaction within the team.
- Empower staff by providing them professional freedom to determine how to execute their work.
- Leverage the strengths and talents of team members to improve overall team performance.
Integrity:
- Ensure all project activities and operations comply with organizational policies, ethical standards, and donor requirements.
- Maintain transparency and accountability throughout project implementation and management.
- Uphold integrity standards as outlined in Cordaid’s policies and integrity framework.

Sub-office Management:
- Coordinate with different projects in the sub-office, including security management and support staff management.
- Oversee the sub-office’s management to ensure it operates efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain an organized and functional work environment to support project activities.
