• The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective quality assurance and control procedures related to both product and material quality, ensuring customer requirements are met. This role includes conducting internal quality evaluations, root cause analysis, and factory technical assessments to optimize processes, ensuring both efficiency and effectiveness.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Sampling & Pre-Production Involvement: Actively participate in the sampling and pre-production processes, liaising with merchandisers and vendors to ensure proper handover for first-time sample approval.
• Customer Requirements: Ensure that fit, quality, testing, measurement, and other customer specifications are consistently met.
• Quality SOP Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), addressing quality and technical issues in production and providing timely solutions to ensure on-time delivery and zero quality claims.
• Audit Review & Remedial Actions: Review daily audit findings, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure that shipments meet the agreed quality parameters.
• Laboratory Testing Reports: Review daily laboratory testing reports, identify failures, take corrective actions, and provide guidance to factories and QA teams.
• Factory Issue Resolution: Monitor daily factory issues and collaborate with the QA team to implement quick solutions and provide necessary guidance.
• Pre-Production (PP) Meetings: Conduct PP meetings with relevant personnel to identify improvement areas and offer guidance to both the QA and Merchandising teams.
• QC Style File Management: Ensure the timely delivery of QC style files with complete and accurate documentation.
• Firewall Report Review: Review monthly firewall reports, implement corrective actions for factories in the AMBER and RED categories, and collaborate with vendors to improve processes.
• QA/QC Performance Monitoring: Monitor QA and QC performance on a monthly basis and report to the GM-Quality and compliance.
• PPC Collaboration: Work with the PPC team to review weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans, ensuring optimized usage of QA/QC resources and proper staffing to efficiently manage workloads.
• Technical Risk Assessments: Review technical risk assessments and educate the QA team on necessary actions to avoid production issues in bulk manufacturing.
• Test Report Management: Ensure that required test reports for fabrics and trims are included in QC files and work with factories to meet customer standards (e.g., AZO testing).
• PPS and Size Set Implementation: Ensure proper implementation of PPS and buyer comments during the size set stage, conducting random audits to confirm these comments are carried out in bulk production, and taking corrective actions when gaps are identified.
• Training & Skill Enhancement: Collaborate with the GM to provide training programs that enhance the QA team's technical, quality, and operational skills.
• Reporting: Maintain and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management via the GM.
• QA Meetings: Hold monthly QA meetings with the GM to assess QA team performance, implement improvement measures, and establish action plans.
