Responsibilities & Context

  • Actively participate in sampling and pre-production processes, collaborating with merchandisers and vendors to ensure proper handover for first-time sample approval.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met, including fit, quality, testing, measurements, and overall product specifications.
  • Maintain quality SOPs and address any quality and technical issues in production, providing timely solutions to ensure on-time delivery and zero quality claims.
  • Review daily audit findings and take corrective actions to ensure shipments meet customer-approved quality parameters.
  • Review daily laboratory testing reports, identify failures, and implement remedial actions while providing guidance to factories and QA teams.
  • Address daily issues arising at factories and work closely with the QA team to implement quick solutions and offer necessary guidance.
  • Conduct Pre-Production (PP) meetings with relevant teams to identify areas of improvement and provide necessary guidance to the QA and merchandising teams.
  • Ensure QC style files are delivered on time with accurate and complete information.
  • Review the monthly firewall report and take action for factories in the AMBER and RED categories, working with vendors on improvement plans.
  • Monitor QA and QC performance monthly, reporting to the GM-Quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with PPC to review weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans, ensuring optimized use of QA/QC resources and adequate staffing to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Review technical risk assessments and educate the QA team on necessary actions to prevent issues during bulk production.
  • Ensure required test reports for yarn and trims are included in QC files and collaborate with factories to meet customer standards for bulk production (e.g., AZO tests).
  • Ensure proper implementation of PPS and buyer comments at the size set stage, conducting random audits to confirm these comments are applied during bulk production.
  • Work with the GM to provide training to the QA team, enhancing their technical, quality, and operational skills.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management via the GM.
  • Hold monthly QA meetings with the GM to review team performance, implement necessary improvements, and establish action plans.
