Responsibilities & Context

  • Be actively involved in sampling and pre-production processes, liaising with merchandisers and vendors to ensure proper handover for first-time sample approval.
  • Ensure that customer fit, quality, testing, measurement, and fit requirements are met.
  • Maintain quality SOPs and take responsibility for addressing any quality and technical issues arising during production, providing timely solutions to ensure on-time delivery and zero quality claims.
  • Review audit findings daily, identify remedial actions, and ensure shipments meet the agreed quality parameters set by the customer.
  • Review laboratory testing reports daily, identify failures, take corrective actions, and provide guidance to factories and QAs.
  • Review daily issues arising at factories, work with the QA team to implement quick solutions, and provide necessary guidance.
  • Conduct PP meetings with relevant stakeholders, identify areas for improvement, and offer guidance to the QA and Merchandising teams.
  • Ensure that QC style files are completed accurately and on time, ensuring all information is correct and all documents are in the required formats.
  • Review the monthly firewall report, identify issues with factories in the AMBER and RED categories, and collaborate with vendors on improvement plans.
  • Monitor the monthly performance of QA and QC teams and report to the GM-Quality and Compliance.
  • Collaborate with PPC to review weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans, ensuring optimized usage of QA/QC resources and ensuring the right staffing to manage work efficiently.
  • Review technical risk assessments and educate the QA team on necessary actions to avoid production issues for bulk production.
  • Ensure that required test reports for yarn and trims are available in QC files, and work with factories to ensure bulk production meets agreed customer standards (e.g., AZO testing).
  • Ensure proper implementation of PPS comments and any special buyer instructions during the size set stage. Conduct random audits to ensure these comments are implemented during bulk production and address any gaps during the first bulk review.
  • Collaborate with the GM to provide training to the QA team to enhance their skills in technical, quality, and operational areas.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management via the GM.
  • Hold monthly QA meetings with the GM to review team performance, implement necessary improvements, and establish time and action plans.
