Responsibilities & Context

  • Perform various inspections to identify and control non-conforming products during production
  • Train station QCs to provide solutions and proactively guide factories to prevent non-conforming products.
  • Ensure follow-through on risk assessments and customer comments, verifying all feedback from Size Set. Conduct Pre-Production Meetings (PPM), and initiate pilot and bulk production.
  • Ensure that style files and all necessary approvals are received by QC and the factory before starting production.
  • Escalate exceptions and delays to team members for timely action.
  • Monitor online setup to ensure that all process controls are in place, and the correct machines are used to achieve the required quality levels and planned production output.
  • Train factory QC teams, certify them, and ensure the effective use of factory laboratories, where available.
  • Initiate and monitor quality improvement projects (knitting, linking, finishing, housekeeping, and testing) in factories, reviewing progress through weekly and monthly MIS reports.
  • Check workmanship, quality, measurements, fitting, and materials according to tech packs, highlighting discrepancies during production.
  • Drive daily production efforts, collaborate with factory top management, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct in-line inspections, pre-final checks, packing audits, and Final Random Inspections (FRI) according to SOPs to ensure customer quality, testing, and packaging requirements are met, eliminating potential risks.
  • Segregate rejected lots, maintain records, and ensure proper control of leftover garments.
  • Ensure product safety, including mold prevention, pest control, sharp tool safety, pull tests, bonding tests, neck stretch limits, and lab/chemical testing in line with ZXY and customer standards.
  • Manage third-party in-line and final inspections effectively.
  • Facilitate night inspections or urgent work with special approval for ZXY QC teams.
  • Maintain transparency in communicating delivery schedules, quality issues, or any QC grievances with QAM, DQM, BU Head, and GM of Quality, and proactively resolve these matters.
  • Allocate the appropriate QC team to each factory according to ZXY SOP.
  • Evaluate QC team performance and initiate necessary training or corrective actions to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Ensure that ZXY quality, testing (chemical and physical), and compliance SOPs are followed for each order.
  • Monitor buyer requirements for sample and bulk knitting, linking, washing, and finishing of garments, troubleshooting any issues as they arise.
