A Quality Controller (QC) in the woven garments sector plays a crucial role in maintaining quality from raw material inspection to the final shipment. Their in-depth knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and quality standards ensures brand integrity and customer satisfaction.
Fabric Inspection: Apply 4-Point or 10-Point system to detect weaving faults, holes, stains, shading, GSM discrepancies, bowing, and skewing.
Shrinkage Testing: Confirm fabric stability before cutting.
Shade Banding: Manage shade lots to prevent color mismatches.
Trims Check: Inspect zippers, buttons, and labels for defects, functionality, and color accuracy.
Quantity Verification: Cross-reference with the Bill of Materials (BOM).
Marker & Pattern Accuracy: Verify correct layout, grainline direction, and shade grouping.
Spreading Control: Ensure even tension, proper ply alignment, and mark visible defects before cutting.
Cut Panel Inspection: Confirm precision in cuts, notches, and completeness of garment parts.
Pre-Production Meeting (PPM): Understand buyer specifications and key construction details.
