• Material Verification: Check and approve the quantity and quality of materials supplied for construction works at every stage.
• Project Planning & Scheduling: Prepare project planning and scheduling using MS-Project software to ensure timely completion within the designated project timeline.
• Project Coordination: Develop effective planning for construction projects and submit to higher management for approval. Coordinate with employers, consultants, and clients' engineers to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Billing & Certification: Work closely with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely receipt of bills. Monitor the certification of bills against drawings, site conditions, measurements, BOQs, contracts, quality standards, RFIs, and daily progress reports.
• Documentation & Database Management: Maintain a database for all BOQs, client/contractor/sub-contractor bills, tax invoices, payment receipts, and related documentation.
• Rate Analysis: Prepare actual rate analysis for major items on a monthly basis. Compile all necessary data, forms, invoices, receipts, work registers, and other supporting documents for client/contractor/sub-contractor billing.
• Payment Applications & Certificates: Prepare Interim Payment Applications (IPA), Interim Payment Certificates (IPC), Requests for Inspection (RFI), Construction Shop Drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and As-Built Drawings.
• Quotation & Assessment: Prepare compression statements for all submitted quotations by subcontractors and generate the Engineer’s Assessment (EA).
• Contract Management: Prepare and manage contract agreements between the company and employer/sub-contractor, including all necessary annexures.
• Budget Monitoring: Regularly follow up with the project team regarding the budget and provide periodic updates to the central Project Control lead and team.
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor construction works to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, codes, and regulations. Compare the actual work with the planned schedule and take corrective actions as needed to maintain the project timeline.
• Site Visits & Audits: Conduct regular site visits to identify problem areas and provide solutions to engineers and subcontractors. Perform technical audits of randomly selected bills and highlight issues to the Project Manager/Management for timely corrective actions.
• Material Management: Check balance quantities in terms of MTO (Material Takeoff) with updated rates. Identify all material requirements and sources, and perform reconciliation for major materials like steel, cement, stone, and concrete.
• Payment Review: Review and check Interim Payment Certificates (IPC) submitted by subcontractors for construction projects. Study all types of design, drawings, specifications, and methodology to ensure successful project completion.
• BOQ & Cost Analysis: Prepare standard formats for Quantity Takeoff, Cost Analysis, and BOQ preparation in accordance with relevant schedules of rates (PWD, RHD, LGED, BWDB, MES, etc.) to ensure smooth and successful project completion.
• Project Meetings: Attend construction-related meetings to support project functions and communicate effectively with the project team to resolve any conflicts or interpretation issues.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks assigned by management as required.
