Responsibilities & Context

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) is seeking an experienced banking professional for the position of Regional Head – Branch Banking Division (Chattogram Region). The incumbent will be responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, customer experience, and risk management across the region. The role requires providing strategic leadership to branch teams to ensure achievement of business objectives while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Drive regional business growth through proactive business development, customer acquisition, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Monitor branch performance against KPIs and provide guidance, coaching, and support to Branch Managers and Relationship Managers.
  • Develop and execute regional business strategies to grow deposits, loans, retail banking products, and fee-based income.
  • Ensure achievement of business, sales, and profitability targets across the region.
  • Improve branch productivity, operational efficiency, and customer service standards.
  • Oversee portfolio quality and asset performance, including delinquency monitoring, recovery initiatives, and NPL management.
  • Support effective risk management practices and ensure portfolio quality across all branches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, local businesses, and community stakeholders.
  • Identify market opportunities and implement strategies to strengthen the Bank’s regional presence.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Branch Managers and regional teams to enhance leadership and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with operational controls, service quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regional business performance reports to senior management.
