ROLE PURPOSE:
The Routine Immunization Supervisor (RIS) will oversee and coordinate the activities of RI vaccinators and supervise EPI (Expanded Program on Immunization) volunteers, ensuring successful implementation of the Routine Immunization (RI) program. This role will require close collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, government stakeholders (such as the Upazila Health Complex and Camp Administration), and the Health Sector in Rohingya refugee camps. The RIS will aim to improve the overall health of the community by increasing immunization coverage, building capacity within the community, and supporting health education initiatives. The RIS will also attend key coordination meetings and liaise with various stakeholders to enhance the success of immunization programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support & Coordination:
Provide coordination support between UNICEF, WHO, government entities, and the health sector for RI activities.
Supervise RI vaccinators and EPI volunteers in the camps to ensure effective implementation of immunization activities.
Community Engagement:
Conduct community engagement sessions and support volunteers in increasing community participation in RI activities.
Participate in advocacy and community consultation meetings to ensure widespread awareness of immunization programs.
Supervision & Monitoring:
Provide supportive supervision during supplementary immunization activities (SIA) and ensure high-quality community engagement.
Collect, compile, and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on RI activities to FIVDB and UNICEF.
Training & Capacity Building:
Build the capacity of EPI volunteers through training, orientation, and mentoring, ensuring they are well-prepared to conduct RI-related activities.
Reporting & Database Management:
Maintain accurate and timely data reporting within the Horizon project database.
Capture and document best practices and success stories for internal and external reporting.
Liaison & Coordination:
Represent FIVDB at camp-level government and NGO coordination meetings.
Maintain clear communication with community leaders, camp administration, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in information and feedback services within NGOs, INGOs, UN, or development agencies, preferably in a camp setting.
Demonstrated ability to manage people and lead teams in a challenging environment.
Understanding of immunization programs, health sector coordination, and community engagement in humanitarian settings.
Knowledge of working with major donors (e.g., UNICEF, WHO) and experience with government liaison.
Proficiency in report writing, data management, and record-keeping.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Language proficiency in both English and Bangla, with an understanding of Chittagong Division culture and language preferred.
