• The General Manager / Head of Accounts plays a critical role within the organization, overseeing and managing the entire accounts operation and cost management functions.
• This role is responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance, analysis, reporting, and control of accounts to support the organization’s financial goals. The position involves providing strategic direction, managing costs, and ensuring best practices in accounts management.
• Cost Management:
• Develop and implement cost control strategies to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
• Analyze and track costs across various functions and departments, identifying opportunities for cost reduction or process improvements.
• Provide cost estimates and analysis for new projects, products, or initiatives.
• Budget Oversight:
• Oversee the budgeting process, collaborating with different departments to gather input and align with financial goals.
• Monitor budget performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Offer analytical insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Risk Management:
• Assess financial risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, including currency exchange rate risks and commodity price fluctuations.
• Implement internal controls and compliance measures to protect financial assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and senior executives, to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making. Manage the internal accounting team within your authority.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to enhance costing processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Uphold ethical standards in accounting practices and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
