We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Laravel) to lead and stabilize the backend infrastructure supporting our high-traffic Android and iOS applications. This role demands strong expertise in backend architecture, performance optimization, and foundational DevOps practices to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure production systems.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Laravel.
Take ownership of backend architecture, database design, and overall system reliability.
Optimize API performance, database queries, and server resource utilization.
Implement secure authentication mechanisms, rate limiting, and abuse prevention controls.
Integrate third-party services, Firebase, and Google Cloud Platform services.
Monitor production environments and troubleshoot critical backend and server-side issues.
Collaborate closely with mobile development teams to support API integration and feature delivery.
Deploy, manage, and maintain backend applications on Linux-based servers.
Configure and manage web servers and runtime components, including Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, and MySQL.
Perform basic server monitoring, log management, backups, and performance tuning.
Manage staging and production environments to ensure stable and reliable deployments.
