• Collection Posting: Accurately record all incoming payments, ensuring they are applied to the correct customer accounts and invoices in the financial system.
• Invoice Management: Monitor and verify the accuracy of invoices and payments, ensuring timely updates in the system to reflect the most recent payment statuses.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions—receipts, payments, and transfers—align accurately with bank statements.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection status, outstanding receivables, and bank reconciliation summaries for management review.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies between posted collections and bank statements, collaborating with internal teams or clients to correct any issues.
• Cash Flow Monitoring: Assist the finance team in tracking cash flow by providing accurate data on collections and outstanding receivables, contributing to liquidity management.
• Audit Support: Ensure all collection and reconciliation records are accurate and up-to-date for audit purposes, supplying necessary documentation and reports during internal or external audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies or errors in the collection posting and reconciliation process, and suggest improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
