Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and competent Senior Manager – Commercial to lead and oversee all commercial operations of our Ready-Made Garments (RMG) factory. The role involves managing import-export activities, handling L/C and banking processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely shipment execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end commercial operations including import, export, shipping, and logistics activities.

• Handle all L/C-related activities including opening, amendment, negotiation, and banking documentation.

• Prepare, review, and verify export documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, EXP, GSP, and related shipping documents.

• Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, banks, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure smooth shipment execution.

• Monitor the import process of raw materials including yarn, trims, accessories, and ensure timely customs clearance.

• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, bonded warehouse procedures, and applicable government policies.

• Maintain strong liaison with customs authorities, BGMEA, EPB, and other regulatory bodies.

• Supervise UD (Utilization Declaration), bond license management, and related commercial documentation.

• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery to buyers according to shipment plans.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies in commercial documents and shipment-related issues.

• Monitor freight costs and implement strategies to optimize logistics and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate with merchandising and production teams to support effective commercial planning and execution.

• Prepare regular reports on shipment status, commercial activities, and operational performance for management review.

• Lead, supervise, train, and develop the commercial team to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit readiness for all commercial activities.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
