Responsibilities & Context

  • Oversee and manage merchandising operations to meet monthly and annual objectives.
  • Perform market research to identify emerging demands and promote newly developed products.
  • Manage order handling, design creation, pricing, production, and timely shipment as per client specifications.
  • Review pricing sheets and negotiate with buyers to secure orders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among departments, stakeholders, and business associates as needed.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely shipment, and ensure merchandisers regularly update buyers on order progress.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain product excellence.
  • Work with the sample department to finalize appropriate designs, dispatch samples promptly, and follow up on buyer feedback or approvals.
  • Execute orders efficiently based on the planned 'Time and Action Plan' to ensure punctual delivery with the correct quality and quantity.
  • Track and guide subordinates in their tasks, ensuring accurate updates in the ERP system.
  • Lead, evaluate, mentor, and train team members to achieve departmental objectives.
