  • Service delivery through good relations with patients (Workers & Staff), respect for the patient's right, good relations with colleagues; and observance of professional ethical obligations.
  • Keep clear and accurate medical records.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Responsible for implementing all activities of the hospital/department under the supervision of a Specialist/Registrar.
  • Manage and support all clinical activities in the department in the absence of the Specialist/Registrar.
  • Develop and approve the monthly plan for clinical activities.
  • Report on clinical and financial activities and submit reports as required.
  • Supervise patient scheduling, registration, medical records, and data entry.
  • Ensure service delivery by fostering good relationships with patients, respecting patient rights, maintaining good relations with colleagues, and adhering to professional ethical standards.
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the patient's condition based on history and physical examination.
  • Arrange appropriate investigations and treatments, maintaining clear and accurate medical records of clinical findings.
  • Continuously monitor and review patient progress, adjusting the management plan when necessary, and taking appropriate action in medical emergencies.
  • Prepare discharge summaries in a timely manner and brief the patient about discharge medications.
  • Conduct daily inpatient rounds, complete case sheets, progress notes, and all necessary documentation.
  • Prepare discharge summaries meticulously following the standard format and ensure they are signed by the consultant.
