  • Extensive experience in product development, material sourcing, costing, production tracking, and the execution of both small and large volume orders across various styles is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of garment construction and costing, particularly regarding knit and woven fabric properties, as well as fabric printing and surface applications (e.g., heat transfer, embroidery, and screen printing).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, build relationships, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Well-groomed, professional, smart, and energetic.
  • Excellent presentation and delivery skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to achieving perfection.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook) is essential.
  • Proactive and dynamic, with the ability to work efficiently and diligently.
  • Capable of multitasking while staying organized and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Independently manage research and product development, staying attuned to the latest fashion trends while creating customer-specific collections.
  • Facilitate smooth communication with customers and suppliers regarding daily merchandising activities and approvals.
  • Understand customer requirements and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality samples.
  • Set priorities, develop work schedules, monitor progress toward goals, and track relevant details, data, and activities.
  • Oversee the entire merchandising cycle, including file/record keeping, sampling, time and action (T&A) plans, QA file creation, production follow-ups, and shipment bookings.
  • Engage in costing and price negotiations with customers and vendors, preparing detailed costing sheets that include necessary breakdowns from factories.
  • Ensure all suppliers utilize designated sources for trims.
  • Provide monthly intelligence reports on actual and potential fluctuations in current cost factors to the business.
  • Coordinate and monitor product quality through collaboration with quality personnel.
  • Maintain the T&A plan to ensure on-time shipment for all orders.
  • Select and visit various fabric and textile mills, production, printing, and washing factories to build long-term relationships for current and future orders.
  • Regularly evaluate factory performance and source and develop new factories as needed.
  • Recommend changes to products or process improvements that enhance production efficiency while maintaining the aesthetics of the garments.
  • Conduct production meetings with factories and the QA team as scheduled, and follow up on order progress with factories.
  • Analyze customer progress reports regarding growth, challenges, product performance, and pricing; gather customer feedback on inquiries and finalize orders with clarity on costs and margins.
  • Review new tech packs and developments to identify critical points, providing accurate details to the factory.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met in production according to customer tech packs.
  • Uphold ethical behavior and business practices, ensuring personal and team conduct aligns with organizational values and standards.
