Manage organizational financial operations using computerized, manual, and software-based systems. Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to support organizational growth while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with organizational, donor, and host country regulations.
Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for branch accounts offices.
Ensure timely entry of transactions into the accounting software (ERP of HCMP).
Support adherence to organizational accounting procedures for vendor/partner payments, advance liquidation, and timely preparation and dissemination of financial reports.
Prepare and submit financial reports to the Senior Manager and donors (as required).
Regularly submit cash requests to donors to secure project operational funds and conduct bank reconciliations.
Participate in procurement meetings and oversee quotation collection in line with guidelines.
Maintain updated taxation records and reports, ensuring compliance with TDS and VDS regulations according to Bangladesh government rules, and timely deposit to banks or treasury.
Stay updated on accounting software trends, online tools, and data management practices.
Maintain liaison with internal teams, external partners, donors, and program stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Support financial budgeting and planning as needed, coordinating with sectors to ensure procurement requests align with appropriate budget codes.
Review and verify branch office procurement requisitions and ensure fund availability.
Monitor project-wise expenditures, burn rates, and transaction lists to minimize mis-coding and ensure proper program expenditure reporting.
Validate financial reports based on MIS, receipts, and payments; check MIS transaction data and source missing sub-ledger codes.
Assist internal, external, and donor audits and respond to audit observations.
Promote a safe and secure environment for program participants, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring protection from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
Act as a key advisor on safeguarding, guiding team members to implement safeguarding policies and standards in all activities.
Follow safeguarding reporting procedures for any incidents and encourage team compliance with reporting protocols.
