Responsibilities & Context

  • Quality Assurance & Control Implementation: Assist in implementing standard procedures for quality assurance and control across all production stages.
  • Pre-Production Meetings: Attend pre-production meetings for new styles, ensuring all quality assurance issues are addressed.
  • Collaboration with Q.I Teams: Coordinate with Table Quality Inspectors (Q.I) and Inline Quality Inspectors (Q.I) to identify and address potential defects in advance through predictive and preventive measures.
  • Sewing Workmanship Inspection: Inspect sewing workmanship in respective lines, ensuring attention to details such as stitching, tension, accessory placement, and level accuracy.
  • In-Process Standardization: Ensure adherence to in-process standards at each stage, using traffic light systems for monitoring and control.
  • Garment Measurement Confirmation: Verify that the completed garments meet the specifications outlined in the measurement chart.
  • Defect Resolution: Discuss defects with sewing floor in-charges and Heads of Department (HOD) and take necessary steps for defect repair.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare various inspection reports, including in-line inspection reports, hourly corrective action reports, end-table inspection reports, and audit reports.
  • SOP Implementation: Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed in accordance with the Buyer Quality Assurance Manual.
  • Corrective & Preventive Actions: Execute corrective and preventive action plans as recommended by management, addressing any quality concerns.
  • Quality Level Monitoring: Maintain and track observed Quality Level (OQL) data for the factory, ensuring ongoing quality control.
  • Quality Control & Workforce Monitoring: Control and ensure product quality through effective monitoring of the existing workforce.
  • Audit Documentation: Maintain accurate audit-related documentation and monitor regular practices to ensure compliance with recommendations.
  • Measurement & Record-Keeping: Ensure 100% measurement of key points is completed and all records are meticulously maintained.
  • Defect Reduction: Develop and implement defect reduction action plans based on weekly OQL data and the top three identified defects.
