Responsibilities & Context

  • Lead Quality Assurance operations across the factory, ensuring consistent execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet buyer requirements.
  • Develop and update quality control SOPs and standards for raw materials, in-process checks, and finished goods testing to ensure adherence to the highest quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all deliverables meet predefined specifications and standards on the first attempt (Right First Time).
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Procurement, Stores, etc.) to ensure the timely provision of samples to the Quality Control team.
  • Establish and oversee comprehensive quality assurance frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout all production stages.
  • Standardize quality control processes across multiple factories to achieve uniformity and consistency in product quality.
  • Plan and coordinate work activities related to finished product, raw material, and in-process quality checks to ensure timely and compliant testing.
  • Own the pre-production meeting process, addressing all callouts from line review meetings and setting up relevant preventive actions for bulk production.
  • Manage and coordinate testing-related activities at the factory level, including in-factory testing arrangements, in-house test facility/laboratory accreditation, and associated in-house test reporting issues.
  • Conduct effective training for QA teams, utilizing machines to minimize costs and increase efficiency.
  • Enhance overall product quality by assessing the results of final inspections.
  • Evaluate various samples (e.g., shade blankets, bulk shades, size sets, TOP samples, GPTs) to ensure they meet all specified attributes before obtaining customer approval.
  • Check materials to ensure compliance with customer-required standards and regulations before being received by the store.
  • Maintain and archive comprehensive inspection documentation, including details on time, samples, test procedures, and results.
