Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Industrial Eng & Production
Additional Requirements
- Age should be between 22 to 32 years.
- Sound knowledge of Time Study and Method Study techniques to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Good understanding of Line Balancing concepts for optimizing manpower and machine utilization.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and production workflows.
- Basic understanding of SMV (Standard Minute Value), capacity planning, production planning, and efficiency measurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel, for data analysis and reporting will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet production deadlines.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn modern Industrial Engineering tools and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude and commitment to achieving production and efficiency targets.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Context
Support the Industrial Engineering (IE) Department by conducting work study activities, monitoring production performance, improving line efficiency, and optimizing production processes to achieve operational targets through effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve overall operational performance.
- Assist in line balancing activities to ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and production resources.
- Monitor daily production performance, line efficiency, operator productivity, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) status of assigned production lines.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Industrial Engineering reports.
- Assist in capacity planning, manpower requirement analysis, and production target calculations.
- Monitor cutting input, output achievement, and workflow movement to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production flow.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of approved machine layouts, workstation arrangements, and production floor optimization initiatives.
- Identify non-value-added activities and recommend process improvements to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain operator skill matrices, efficiency records, and productivity tracking systems.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues.
- Support training programs and provide guidance to operators on work methods, productivity enhancement techniques, and best practices.
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing concepts, and cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Industrial Engineering standards, safety regulations, and production procedures.
- Support overtime control initiatives through effective manpower planning and productivity management.
- Arrange and facilitate training sessions to improve employee skills, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Perform any other Industrial Engineering-related responsibilities assigned by management.
