Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer (Backend) Team Lead with extensive experience in PHP and Laravel to join our dynamic team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the development of new software products and enhancements, guiding a team of Software Engineers. You should have a strong background in large-scale applications, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaboration within cross-functional teams.


  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Software Engineers, providing technical guidance and support in their career growth.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Write and enforce best practices for clean, high-quality, and maintainable code in PHP across the team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Oversee the integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of applications and databases.
  • Drive the testing and deployment processes for new products and features, ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Facilitate code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team efficiency.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions, technical designs, and development roadmaps, aligning them with business objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the team.
