  • Comprehensive knowledge of audio fundamentals, acoustics, and sound signal processing. Proficient in using various audio devices, including soundboards, amplifiers, microphones, speakers, and digital audio platforms.
  • Skilled in configuring and operating audio systems for live events and recordings, with experience in using audio software for editing, mixing, and sound enhancement.
  • Set up and fine-tune audio systems, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and soundboards.
  • Perform pre-event sound checks to confirm equipment functionality.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities to handle unforeseen technical issues calmly and effectively.
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality service to event planners, speakers, and audiences.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Set up, configure, and operate audio equipment for live events, ensuring top sound quality.
  • Monitor sound levels during events to maintain consistent volume and clarity.
  • Prepare audio setups for events by connecting microphones, speakers, and other equipment.
  • Quickly troubleshoot and address technical issues during events to minimize interruptions.
  • Work with event coordinators to understand specific audio needs and plan accordingly.
  • Conduct site assessments and technical run-throughs to confirm all audio requirements are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on audio equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Arrange for repairs or replacement of defective equipment as needed.
  • Provide training to faculty, staff, and students on correct audio equipment use.
  • Stay informed about new developments in audio technology.
  • Ensure all audio equipment and procedures adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
