Education


  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Additional Requirements


  • MBBS with FCPS / MD recognized by the BMDC or Having 2 year’s Diploma with 1 year experience after completion of diploma or having 1 year Diploma with 2-year experience after completion of Diploma (for Specialist) or
  • MBBS with FCPS / MD (Part 1 /Phase A completed) recognized by the BMDC or Two (02) years Diploma in relevant field (for Registrar)

Responsibilities & Context

  • Responsible for implementing all activities within the hospital/department under the guidance of a Consultant.
  • Manage and support all clinical activities within the department in the absence of the Consultant or Junior Consultant.
  • Evaluate patients' vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use, and other risk factors.
  • Communicate with patients regarding pain management plans and collaborate with other doctors and surgeons to minimize discomfort and provide pain relief during procedures.
  • Work with the medical team to design individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Supervise nurses during the administration of anesthesia to patients before procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and adjust anesthetic levels as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient treatments, dosages, and vital signs.
  • Provide ongoing care post-surgery to manage pain relief and ensure appropriate levels of consciousness.
  • Communicate continuing care instructions to nursing staff.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
