Required Qualifications

Experience

✔ At least 3 years of hands-on QA experience, including a minimum of 1 year in test automation.
✔ Experience testing web applications and REST APIs within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Technical Skills — Must Have

✔ Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, including testing levels, types, and techniques such as boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, decision tables, and exploratory testing.
✔ Hands-on experience with test automation using at least one programming language; Java or Python is preferred.
✔ Experience with Selenium WebDriver and TestNG/JUnit or PyTest. Knowledge of Playwright or Cypress is a plus.
✔ Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools, with a good understanding of JSON, HTTP methods, and status codes.
✔ Proficiency in SQL for data validation, preferably with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
✔ Understanding of CI/CD concepts, running automated tests in pipelines, and using Git.
✔ Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
✔ Good understanding of computer and networking fundamentals, including client-server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, browsers, caching, basic Linux commands, and log analysis.
✔ Practical experience using AI tools to improve test design, test automation, and QA productivity.

Good to Have

✔ Experience with performance testing using JMeter or k6.
✔ Experience in mobile application testing for Android/iOS, including Appium.
✔ Basic knowledge of security testing using tools such as OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.
✔ Experience with Docker and containerized test environments.
✔ Experience testing MIS, biometric, payment, or large-scale data registry systems.
✔ Knowledge of accessibility testing and Bangla-language/Unicode testing.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an SQA Engineer who will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of systems handling citizen data, payments, and government services. The role covers the complete testing lifecycle—from requirements analysis and test planning to automation, defect management, and release validation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with developers in an Agile environment, combining manual and automated testing with modern AI-assisted testing tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Analyze requirements, user stories, and specifications (SRS/BRD) to identify gaps, ambiguities, and testability issues at an early stage.
✔ Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices.
✔ Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing for web and mobile applications.
✔ Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites for UI testing using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
✔ Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
✔ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to support continuous testing.
✔ Conduct performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or k6 and identify performance bottlenecks.
✔ Perform basic security testing, including OWASP Top 10 checks, role and permission validation, and input validation.
✔ Validate application and database data using SQL, including data integrity, migration validation, reporting, and de-duplication in registries.
✔ Log, prioritize, and track defects in Jira or similar tools, providing clear reproduction steps, evidence, and severity levels.
✔ Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and provide objective go/no-go recommendations before releases.
✔ Support client UAT sessions and prepare test summary reports for government and donor clients.
✔ Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and GitHub Copilot to generate test ideas, test data, and automation scripts while carefully reviewing and validating AI-generated output before use.
