Education

• Assist in implementing and fulfilling environmental and chemical management systems in accordance with brand guidelines, as well as national and international standards.
• Meet the requirements of the Environment module in HIGG INDEX FEM Version 4.0, and collect monthly, annual, and bi-annual data as per the guidelines.
• Understand Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports and Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
• Develop plans to improve environmental assessment parameters.
• Participate in creating new environmental management policies and ensure their implementation as per the policy.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with the ECR utility department, maintenance department, and administration.
• Participate in internal audits to identify gaps and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Handle various audits related to environmental issues.
• Ensure compliance with the Brands' Minimum Requirements (MR) for environmental aspects.
• Promote best practices in chemical storage, handling, secondary containment, segregation, disposal, and the special care of sensitive and hazardous chemicals.
• Generate and implement innovative ideas to enhance environmental efficiencies.
• Periodically submit applications to the Department of Environment (DOE) for wastewater, ETP, and air emission tests.
• Conduct drinking water, air emission, and noise level tests as per regulations.
• Ensure the factory adopts the best chemical management practices.
• Uphold the buyer's code of conduct concerning chemical safety, environmental management, and waste handling policies.
• Monitor ETP wastewater discharge, evaluate environmental parameters in line with DOE standards, and meet BSR standards.
• Understand ZDHC, BlueSign, Oeko-Tex Step, GOTS, GRS, IPE Gateway, and other chemical and dye-related requirements.
• Possess sound knowledge of the USGBC Green Building Council.
• Understand and maintain proper documentation for MRSL, RSL, SDS, and MSDS.
• Ensure adherence to chemical purchasing guidelines.
• Maintain proper chemical management in the chemical store and production areas.
