  • Applicants must have experience in VAT accounting within the yarn manufacturing textile sector.
  • Proficiency in VAT software applications and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of both local and international VAT laws.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues.
  • The ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions is a must.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop and implement VAT strategies that align with the company's financial goals while ensuring compliance with local VAT regulations.
  • Prepare Mushak Challan in conjunction with the daily Yarn Delivery Challan.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of Mushak according to LC-specific Yarn deliveries for submission of LC documents as required by management.
  • Maintain the purchase register, sales register, and all other registers in accordance with the VAT and SD Act, 2012, and Rules, 2016.
  • Prepare Mushak for wastage sales permission and submit it to the VAT office in accordance with the VAT and SD Act, 2012, and Rules, 2016.
  • Maintain a wastage sales register in compliance with the VAT and SD Act, 2012, and Rules, 2016.
  • Ensure adherence to VAT regulations and rules, including registration, reporting, and payment requirements.
  • Maintain VAT software in accordance with government regulations.
  • Handle VAT audits conducted by VAT authorities and other government auditors.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings while liaising with relevant VAT, customs, and government offices.
  • Manage bank-related tasks relevant to VAT purposes.
  • Organize and maintain files and documents related to VAT in the accounts department.
  • Stay informed about changes in VAT legislation and evaluate their impact on the organization.
