Responsibilities & Context
This position is responsible for fabric quality management and leading the autonomous operation of a knitting composite mill with a capacity of over 35 tons, ensuring the highest quality standards across synthetic weft-knitted fabrics. The role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of quality processes, fostering a strong factory management system, and promoting a culture of excellence in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Independently manage the quality department of a knitting composite mill, with in-depth knowledge of synthetic weft-knitted fabrics across various structural categories.
- Plan, maintain, and control the quality of the greige and final inspection sections, as well as the physical testing lab, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
- Establish and oversee training, development, and evaluation systems to enhance the skills of workers at all levels within the factory.
- Possess comprehensive technical knowledge of yarn and fabric quality parameters, as well as up-to-date training tools.
- Guide inspection and testing teams to ensure fabric quality meets customer expectations.
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable about the quality standards of synthetic weft-knitted structures, including Single Jersey, Interlock, Rib, Engineering Stripe, Fleece, Terry, Waffle, Pique, Ponte, Micro-fiber Polar Fleece, and Jacquard, using both single and double jersey machines.
- Develop and maintain a strong factory management system, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills. Knowledge of quality control tools such as 5S, TQM, TPS, TPM, or similar is required.
- Implement cost-effective production and quality processes by establishing a standardized Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the factory.
- Ensure that all quality parameters align with customer expectations, analyzing them daily, weekly, and monthly, and communicating findings to relevant production departments.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to monitor production and technical timelines, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to customer specifications for all orders.
- Provide support in resolving day-to-day production, quality, and operational issues, and escalate complex problems to higher authorities when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to production, quality, customer feedback, and management on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management when needed.
