Responsibilities & Context

This position seeks an experienced and dynamic individual to serve as Sr. Manager of IT, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the IT function within our apparel manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in computer hardware, software, network and infrastructure management, and technical service management. They will lead a team of IT personnel and work closely with the Group Head of IT & ERP, as well as the Management, to ensure the seamless operation of all IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture:

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Establish and implement standards, guidelines, and best practices for IT architecture and systems integration.
  • Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization's IT environment.

Infrastructure Development:

  • Collaborate with the Group Head of IT & ERP to develop and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including installing and maintaining standard computer equipment.
  • Ensure the efficient allocation of IT equipment across departments and locations.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the inventory of computer hardware, laptops, printers, UPS, scanners, multimedia projectors, software, and operating systems.
  • Implement efficient inventory tracking systems to ensure timely restocking and prevent shortages.

System Monitoring and Management:

  • Monitor and manage all IT systems, network appliances, hardware, and infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Implement proactive measures to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.

Attendance System and IT Support:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of attendance systems, networking infrastructure, and IT support services.
  • Provide company-wide technical support, resolving hardware and software issues and ensuring data integrity.

Disaster Recovery Planning:

  • Develop and implement robust disaster recovery plans to minimize the impact of unforeseen events, power outages, and system downtime.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure swift data recovery and minimal disruption to operations.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with service providers, vendors, and other organizations, negotiating contracts and procuring necessary IT equipment and services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or changes as needed.

Budgeting and Equipment Needs:

  • Assess IT budget requirements in line with organizational goals and technology needs.
  • Prioritize and manage equipment procurement to ensure resources are allocated effectively and align with strategic objectives.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of software, hardware, and network configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure that documentation is regularly updated and accessible for reference and training purposes.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT needs and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
