Responsibilities & Context

  • Monitor worker recruitment and employee onboarding.
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees on various topics.
  • Provide training in accordance with buyer requirements as well as internal routines and timelines.
  • Observe the production floor, address worker issues, and implement industrial relations practices.
  • Update company policies and develop new policies as needed.
  • Coordinate the activities of the participation committee, health and safety committee, etc.
  • Monitor staff increments and promotions under the Wage Management System (WMS).
  • Submit H&M monthly performance data on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Oversee compliance with Better Work Bangladesh, SLCP, Higg FEM, WRAP, BSCI, and Sedex standards.
  • Observe RSC (Responsible Sourcing Code) activities.
  • Monitor the childcare and medical center.
  • Maintain a resignation register and handle documentation for resignations, earned leave, service benefits, and final settlements.
  • Prepare statements for left-behind payments.
  • Handle grievances, including drafting show-cause letters when necessary.
  • Observe the security guard attendance register (duty roster).
  • Prepare Internal Audit Corrective Action Plans (CAP) as needed.
  • Conduct and monitor product safety audits.
  • Arrange documentation for buyer audits.
  • Collaborate in fire drills and fire safety training.
  • Assist with worker salary distribution.
  • Prepare annual earned leave reports.
  • Prepare annual and semi-annual returns.
  • Ensure completion of tasks related to personal files, left-behind files, ID cards, appointment letters, and induction training.
  • Conduct various types of surveys, including annual wage surveys and worker voice programs.
  • Monitor the production floor and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Support the compliance officer and welfare officer in their duties.
  • Have working experience with H&M, C&A, Primark, Next, etc.
  • Report to the Assistant Manager/Manager or Department Head.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager/Manager, Department Head, or management.
