We are seeking an experienced and practical OT Incharge who will oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures in the Operation Theater (OT).
Coordination: Work closely with consultants to ensure high-quality nursing care and maintain an OT roster based on the surgeon's schedule.
Patient and Staff Safety: Ensure the safety and comfort of patients, as well as the health and safety of employees assigned to the OT.
Collaboration: Coordinate with support services to maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Inventory Management: Maintain and update OT inventory in the hospital software according to hospital policies.
Documentation: Ensure timely completion of procedure details in the register. Manage and supervise sterilization services and prepare staff rosters for OT personnel.
Procurement: Prepare and submit OT requirements and requisitions in a timely manner.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance of all OT equipment and documentation of OT activities.
Staff Supervision: Monitor the activities of nurses and OT staff, ensuring adherence to their duties and schedules.
Surgeon and Anesthesiologist Coordination: Ensure the availability of surgeons and anesthesiologists in the OT block and manage room-wise staff assignments.
Supplies Management: Ensure daily availability of necessary OT instruments and consumables.
Staff Monitoring: Track staff movement in the OT floor, ensuring punctuality and smooth patient flow into the OT.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all registers used in the OT block.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform any tasks assigned by management.
