Education


  • B.Sc Engineering (Civil) degree from reputed Engineering University, preferably from BUET, RUET, CUET.

Additional Requirements


  • A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in Civil Engineering, specifically within the Real Estate and Housing sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of land development, road construction, plot demarcation, and sand filling processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, map operations, plotting, and ArcGIS applications.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction principles, including Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Material Order Quantity (MOQ).
  • Must be a registered member of the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) and enlisted with RAJUK.

Responsibilities & Context

Project Supervision:

  • Oversee and monitor ongoing project activities to ensure proper execution as per company standards.
Material Quality Assurance:
  • Arrange testing of construction materials at recognized institutions or universities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Land and Civil Maintenance Works:
  • Manage all activities related to land development and maintenance of civil structures to meet project timelines.
Feedback and Problem Resolution:
  • Regularly report to higher management about construction challenges and provide solutions in line with management guidelines.
Contractor Performance Evaluation:
  • Assess contractor performance and recommend suitable candidates for ongoing and future construction engagements.
Procurement Support:
  • Collaborate with the purchase department to acquire the best materials and ensure timely delivery for uninterrupted project progression.
Staff Training and Performance Management:
  • Conduct on-the-job training for site engineers and other project staff, and evaluate their performance to improve efficiency.
Team Coordination:
  • Organize regular meetings with project construction teams to foster coordination, cooperation, and improved performance.
Liaison with Authorities:
  • Maintain strong communication with government and non-government engineering officials for project-related activities and compliance.
Financial Oversight:
  • Ensure timely preparation and processing of various bills, including contractor payments and office/residential building expenditures.
Real Estate Transactions:
  • Assist in land and flat acquisition or sales for the company as per management instructions.
Accommodation Planning:
  • Support management in planning and organizing accommodations for staff, both in-office and residential, as required.
