  • Strong expertise in Linux and Windows Server administration.
  • Proficiency in managing VMware virtualization platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with data center hardware, including servers, storage systems, and environmental monitoring.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is an advantage.
  • Relevant Certification from Microsoft and Red Hat is required. Certification with VMware solutions would be added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Server & Virtualization Management
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers in bare-metal and virtualized environments.
  • Manage and maintain VMware infrastructure for server virtualization.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and security audits to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Data Center Operations & Storage Management
  • Manage data center infrastructure, including hardware installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and maintain SAN & NAS storage systems.
  • Monitor data-center health using management tools and respond to hardware issues.
  • Perform capacity planning and maintain an inventory of data center equipment.
  • Network & Security Management
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, Proxy, and Mail Services.
  • Implement security best practices, including firewalls, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and apply patches to address vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor network activity and ensure compliance with IT security policies.Database & Application Support
  • Manage and troubleshoot Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Monitor database performance and perform backup & recovery operations.
  • IT Systems & Support
  • Provide support for company IT systems (Access Control, Surveillance, Website, etc.).
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Perform backup and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity.
  • Generate periodic reports and maintain documentation of IT procedures.
