  • Manage and grow the assigned Trade Finance and Transaction Banking customer portfolio.
  • Increase wallet share and deepen business relationships across assigned customer segments.
  • Monitor customer transaction patterns, business activities, and banking behavior to identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular calls, meetings, and follow-ups with corporate clients to strengthen relationships and generate business.
  • Promote and acquire new business for collection solutions, payment solutions, FDRs, CASA, SND, Special Transactional Accounts, Government Mandates, Corporate Mandates, and other banking products.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing deposit clients to ensure portfolio sustainability and long-term business growth.
  • Support deposit mobilization initiatives and contribute to maintaining a healthy and diversified deposit portfolio.
  • Assist in maintaining the Bank’s Advance-Deposit (AD) Ratio through effective liability generation and portfolio management.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend suitable banking solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service and relationship management.
  • Prepare business reports, pipeline updates, and portfolio performance reviews as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management in support of Transaction Banking and Corporate Banking objectives.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Achieve assigned targets for Trade Finance, Transaction Banking, Fee Income, and related business portfolios.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase trade business volumes and revenue growth.
  • Acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) commercial and corporate clients and expand the customer base.
  • Identify opportunities for Import Finance, Export Finance, Inland Trade Services, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Financing, Distributor Financing, Bank Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC), and Structured Trade Solutions.
  • Increase the Bank’s market share in trade-related banking and transaction banking services.
  • Generate sustainable non-funded income through trade and transaction banking products.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, monitor conversion rates, and ensure achievement of business targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary Trade Banking contact for assigned customers.
  • Conduct regular client visits, business reviews, and relationship management activities.
  • Understand clients’ business models, supply chains, working capital requirements, and operational needs.
  • Identify customer pain points and recommend tailored transaction banking and trade finance solutions.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term business relationships.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with industry and regulatory organizations such as BASIS, BCCI, JCCI, BIDA, BEZA, BEPZA, and other relevant institutions.
  • Support onboarding of major international clients through Foreign Desk Coverage, including China, Japan, Korea, and other key business corridors.
  • Promote and acquire clients for Cash Management Solutions, including Collection Solutions, Payment Solutions, Virtual Accounts, Payroll Services, Liquidity Management, Escrow Services, Digital Banking Platforms, and Online Trade Platforms.
  • Develop business opportunities across Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, Utility Providers, Local and Multinational Corporates, Capital Market Entities, Insurance Companies, NGOs, Educational Institutions, Healthcare Organizations, Fuel & Power, Food, and Telecommunication sectors.
  • Design and deliver customized collection and payment solutions to enhance deposit growth and client engagement.
  • Increase wallet share from existing clients while maintaining a low cost of funds.
  • Achieve budgeted targets through mobilization of CASA, SND, Special Transactional Accounts, FDRs, and other liability products.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management to support the Bank’s business growth and strategic objectives.
