Responsibilities & Context

BRAC is an international development organization founded in Bangladesh in 1972. It works globally with more than 100 million people living in poverty and inequality to create opportunities that enable them to realize their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely sample development and fabric cutting according to approved ratios, designs, and schedules.

  • Clearly understand order sheets and Product Tech Packs (PTP) before execution.

  • Prepare cutting for PP approval and hand over to the concerned section within seven working days of receiving each order from Head Office.

  • Prepare samples following Aarong designs and execute cutting plans as per approved samples and instructions.

  • Ensure timely and adequate material supply to artisans across different sections to support smooth production.

  • Perform fabric cutting based on shade, size, ratio, and color specifications.

  • Verify shrinkage reports and ratios prior to commencing bulk production.

  • Submit daily cutting and measurement reports to the supervisor.

  • Clearly communicate measurement charts to tailoring artisans and oversee tailoring accuracy during cutting.

  • Take corrective actions to address alterations and measurement discrepancies as required.

  • Mobilize and engage community artisans to meet production targets through door‑to‑door outreach.

  • Return excess fabrics to the store after proper counting upon completion of cutting for each order.

  • Ensure quality cutting output aligned with artisan capacity and floor production targets.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and protection of programme participants, visitors, and team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).

  • Act as a key resource for safeguarding guidance and support, promoting a safe and respectful working environment.

  • Promote, practice, and enforce safeguarding policies and standards in all activities.

  • Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures and encourage timely reporting of any safeguarding concerns or incidents.
