Responsibilities & Context

  • Select progressive farmers and organize farm evaluation trials and demonstrations of supplied varieties according to protocols.
  • Conduct surveys to identify suitable plots for evaluation trials and set up demonstration plots.
  • Provide technical support and supply inputs to farmers.
  • Regularly monitor evaluation and demonstration plots, collecting data, taking photographs, and preparing reports.
  • Participate in dealer workshops and build relationships with seed dealers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote key characteristics of promising varieties to dealers and channel partners.
  • Attend ‘field days’ and ‘crop cutting’ events organized by marketing and sales divisions.
  • Participate in training programs and liaise with experts from public organizations.
  • Build relationships with sales teams, conduct market surveys, and identify key sources of variety.
  • Collect up-to-date information about competitive market products.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, supporting safeguarding practices.
  • Promote and implement safeguarding policies and standards in all actions.
  • Follow safeguarding reporting procedures and encourage others to report incidents.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the respective authority.
