Requirements

Education


  • PHD/Doctorate, Postgraduate in Anthropology, Development Studies, Geography, Environmental Science or in any subject of Social Science disciplines from a reputed university.

Experience


  • 5 Year

Additional Requirements


  • Proven experience in program planning, budgeting, financial management, staff management, and report writing.
  • Skills in monitoring and evaluation of projects.
  • Clear understanding of:
  • Human rights and human rights-based project dynamics.
  • Climate change, environmental degradation, and climate-induced human rights violations.
  • Gender and gender-related human rights violations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience in networking and collaborating with union, upazila, and district administrations, as well as national networks.
  • Male candidates must have a valid motorbike driving license.
  • Willingness to stay at the upazila level with frequent visits to remote areas.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies, including: Child Protection, Gender, Anti-Sexual Harassment

Responsibilities & Context

  • At least 5 years of experience in livelihood, disaster management, and climate change.
  • Coordinate all program activities within the assigned upazila.
  • Establish and coordinate Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
  • Conduct regular visits to CSOs and secondary schools.
  • Organize training activities for target groups.
  • Facilitate dialogue meetings between civil society and government agencies.
  • Coordinate climate-resilient innovative initiatives, rapid response mechanisms, and support systems, including reporting on these activities.
  • Maintain communication with government agencies and service providers.
  • Manage and monitor program staff.
  • Preference given to candidates born and raised in coastal regions with experience in EU-funded projects.
