  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience in Rohingya Camps is a MUST.
  • Proficiency in the local language is MUST.
  • The applicants should have experience in CBT payment
  • Ability to work under pressure, particularly during emergencies.
  • Good communication skills and experience in working with community people.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Oversee and monitor the implementation of homestead gardening activities. Provide training to beneficiaries and community members on gardening techniques, best practices for vegetable growing, and nutrition-sensitive farming methods.
  • Cash and Input Distribution: Facilitate the distribution of cash and agricultural inputs under the WFP-funded Green Skills project. Ensure the proper tracking and documentation of the distribution process, in coordination with the Technical Manager, Officer-Homestead Gardening, and Finance Officers.
  • Liaison & Coordination: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the camp administration, sectors, and CiC (Camp-in-Charge) office to ensure smooth project implementation, resolve any issues, and align with camp regulations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records related to cash-based transfer (CBT) and other related project activities. Ensure proper documentation of inputs, cash distributions, and beneficiary participation.
  • Field Visits & Monitoring: Conduct regular visits to camp households to monitor the progress of homestead gardening activities, ensure adherence to training, and provide on-site support and guidance to households.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including community leaders, local authorities, and other partner organizations, to ensure effective project delivery and engagement with the camp population.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Gather data related to project activities, beneficiaries, and outcomes. Provide regular updates to the Technical Manager and contribute to reporting requirements for project progress.
  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience in agricultural development or homestead gardening, with knowledge of nutrition-sensitive agriculture.
  • Familiarity with cash-based transfer (CBT) systems and distribution processes.
  • Strong facilitation and training skills, with the ability to engage and educate beneficiaries.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation for monitoring and reporting purposes.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to work with different stakeholders, including camp administration, sectors, and partners.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to camp households for field visits.
  • Experience in humanitarian settings, particularly working with displaced populations, is an advantage.
