Additional Requirements

• Biomedical Equipment Management: Address and resolve complaints related to biomedical equipment. Perform functional testing, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs on a wide range of biomedical devices. Conduct daily rounds in hospital departments to check equipment status, carry out repairs, and provide on-site user training.
• Technical Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electronic circuits. Conduct routine maintenance, including visual and mechanical inspections, safety and performance testing, parts replacement, calibration, and minor repairs.
• New Equipment Verification: Inspect and verify the performance of new or incoming biomedical equipment prior to clinical use.
• Troubleshooting & Calibration: Perform corrective maintenance and calibrate equipment as necessary. Respond promptly to service requests and troubleshoot to the component level when possible.
• User Training & Safety: Train clinical users on the proper operation, safety procedures, and routine care of biomedical instruments.
• Operational Reporting: Report to the Head of Department (HoD) on preventive maintenance activities, operational improvements, and incident investigations. Manage warranty repairs and contracted services provided by external representatives.
• Inventory Management: Request service parts and spares for maintenance or stock replenishment. Investigate alternative sources for parts to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, or faster delivery.
• Installation & Servicing: Install and service medical and related technical equipment for hospital, laboratory, and research use. Maintain high proficiency in troubleshooting, communication, and computer skills to service various equipment.
• Gas Plant Operations: Operate and maintain the gas plant, ensuring safe and efficient gas production. Perform regular inspections and maintenance, following safety protocols.
