Tour Consultant

✔ Age: 22 to 29 years.

✔ Must have in-depth knowledge of Maldives and Sri Lanka as travel destinations, including popular attractions, hotels, resorts, transportation, and tour packages.

✔ Strong numerical ability with excellent pricing, quotation, and package cost calculation skills.

✔ Excellent operational, organizational, and time management skills.

✔ Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, and other standard office applications.

✔ Excellent presentation, customer service, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.

✔ Pleasant personality with a professional attitude and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.

✔ Creative, innovative, proactive, and eager to learn new destinations, products, and industry trends.

✔ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

✔ Sound knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, including travel operations, hotel reservations, airline services, and customer care.

✔ Experience in Email Marketing, digital communication, or online customer engagement will be considered a strong advantage.

✔ Ability to handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and service quality.

Job Context

We are looking for a passionate, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Tour Consultant to provide professional travel consultation and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting tour packages, preparing itineraries, handling reservations, coordinating with travel partners, and ensuring a seamless travel experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Provide professional consultation on tour packages and travel destinations, with a primary focus on Maldives and Sri Lanka.

✔ Respond promptly to customer inquiries through phone calls, emails, social media, messaging platforms, and in-person meetings.

✔ Prepare accurate tour quotations, package pricing, and cost calculations for clients.

✔ Explain package details, travel services, hotel information, visa requirements, and itinerary options clearly and professionally.

✔ Prepare customized travel packages, detailed itineraries, and travel proposals based on customer requirements.

✔ Handle hotel and resort reservations, booking confirmations, and other travel-related arrangements.

✔ Maintain and update documentation, rate sheets, travel records, and customer information using Microsoft Office Suite.

✔ Build and maintain strong professional relationships with hotels, resorts, airlines, travel agencies, and other tourism partners.

✔ Deliver professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to clients, partners, or corporate groups when required.

✔ Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after travel, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

✔ Coordinate with internal teams and travel partners to ensure smooth booking, reservation, and tour operations.

✔ Stay active on online platforms to communicate with customers, respond to inquiries, and support promotional activities.

✔ Keep up to date with destination information, travel regulations, airline policies, promotional offers, and tourism industry trends.

✔ Perform any other travel consulting, reservation, customer service, or business development responsibilities assigned by Management.
