Requirements
Education

Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
Additional Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in trade marketing, category management, or related areas within FMCG or consumer goods sectors, including team leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, category management expertise, effective communication, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency: Proficient in category management tools, Nielsen or similar market analysis software, and Microsoft Office.
- Personality Traits: Strategic thinker, proactive problem solver, and team-oriented leader.
Responsibilities & Context
Category Development & Strategy:
- Develop and execute category strategies tailored to market trends and consumer preferences.
- Analyze category data and insights to enhance product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of category plans with broader business goals.
Trade Marketing Execution:
- Design impactful trade marketing programs to drive in-store visibility, product trials, and consumer engagement.
- Ensure high-quality execution of trade marketing activities, overseeing point-of-sale material placement, planograms, and promotional displays.
- Partner with key retailers to create customized plans that support sales growth within each category.
Performance Monitoring & Insights:
- Regularly analyze category performance metrics, tracking sales, market share, and in-store execution effectiveness.
- Leverage consumer and shopper insights to identify new growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Provide actionable recommendations to refine category plans based on data-driven insights and competitive analysis.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of trade category professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Establish individual goals and performance KPIs, offering regular coaching and feedback to support team development.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the team’s skills in category management, trade marketing execution, and data analysis.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with external trade partners and retail accounts to enhance in-store collaboration and strategic alignment.
- Act as a key liaison with the sales and marketing teams, ensuring effective communication and implementation of trade strategies.
