Responsibilities & Context
We are looking for a Transactions Officer to join our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling cash and card transactions. They should be comfortable assisting patients with payment inquiries, processing payments, issuing receipts, and
performing end-of-shift cash reconciliations. Strong communication skills and the ability to
collaborate with the billing and finance departments to resolve payment-related issues are essential. Experience in maintaining accurate records and supporting audit processes is a plus.
- Assist patients with payment inquiries and provide information on payment options.
- Process payments from patients, including cash, cards, and checks, at the collection point.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Perform end-of-shift cash reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and balanced.
- Prepare daily cash collection reports for management review, detailing all transactions processed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cash collections.
- Collaborate with the billing and finance departments to resolve payment-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
