Responsibilities & Context

  • Utility & Electrical System Management
  • Oversee the maintenance and development of Utility, Electrical, AC Plant, Generator, Compressor, and Heat Setting Machines.
  • Direct and manage the powerhouse and utility operations, ensuring seamless production and distribution of steam, chilled water, natural gas, domestic water, electrical systems, and sewer systems.
  • Ensure zero downtime by implementing preventive maintenance programs for generators, chillers, and other electrical equipment.
  • Electrical Project Planning & Safety Compliance
  • Develop and review complex electrical project calculations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards in electrical designs to ensure safety compliance.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and installation of plant machinery and utility systems.
  • Maintenance & Process Optimization
  • Plan and implement effective maintenance strategies to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of maintenance projects throughout the design and implementation process.
  • Introduce and oversee the commissioning and installation of new generators and electrical systems.
  • Conduct periodic and scheduled maintenance of all electrical and power equipment in the spinning mill.
  • Energy Management & Cost Optimization
  • Ensure optimum utilization of energy resources (power, air, steam, gas, etc.).
  • Monitor and measure utility usage, production efficiency, and waste management through periodic reports.
  • Minimize Non-Productive Time (NPT) and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Production and Engineering teams to plan shutdowns for maintenance without affecting production schedules.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and essential resources for maintenance.
