  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Web Developer, with relevant architectural experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal English).
  • Working experience in a multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace is preferred
  • A strong understanding of the MVC and HMVC design patterns and Object-Oriented Programming is a must
  • At least 4 personal projects developed using PHP (Laravel)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with PHP 8+ (Laravel), MySQL, and Blade
  • Solid working experience in creating RESTful APIs
  • Has followed any Waterfall, Scrum, or Agile development methodologies

Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking a precocious and ambitious web developer willing to work on projects to develop our business as a backend developer (PHP, Laravel).

  • Assist in planning, designing, and executing solutions from scratch
  • Collaborate with the project manager and web development team to understand the requirements and deliver solutions
  • Help develop easy-to-upgrade, intuitive, and well-documented stacks
  • Work with a holistic SDLC (agile) and test-oriented approach for diagnosing, debugging, and upgrading applications
  • Optimize website performance and scalability
  • Write clean code
  • Implement server-side logic to process front inputs
  • Comfortable working on REST APIs
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
