Responsibilities & Context

  • Worker-Employer Relationship Management: Maintain a positive relationship with workers and employers, fostering a harmonious and cooperative environment.

  • Counseling & Guidance: Counsel workers on company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and discipline to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

  • Maternity Leave Management: Oversee maternity leave formalities, procedures, and policies, providing guidance and counseling to employees regarding leave entitlements.

  • Absenteeism Management: Counsel absentee workers and take proactive measures to reduce absenteeism, ensuring consistent workforce availability.

  • Worker Welfare: Advocate for the improvement of workers' standards of living by recommending welfare programs and benevolent activities that support employee well-being.

  • WPC Activities: Manage Worker Participation Committee (WPC) activities, facilitating discussions between worker representatives and the employer regarding service conditions and labor contracts.

  • Disciplinary Procedures: Take responsibility for managing disciplinary procedures, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies.

  • Childcare & First Aid Facilities: Ensure the availability and proper functioning of necessary facilities like childcare and first aid rooms to support worker health and family needs.

  • Communication & Development: Effectively communicate workers’ needs in the workplace and take steps to develop the worker-owner relationship, promoting mutual respect and understanding.

  • Daily Floor Visits: Conduct regular floor visits to maintain direct engagement with workers, address concerns, and oversee work conditions.

  • Welfare Management Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of all welfare management activities, ensuring transparency and compliance.

  • Female Workers' Welfare: Oversee and manage female workers' issues, ensuring their concerns are addressed and promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment.

  • Attendance & Leave Management: Manage attendance, leave, and overtime (OT) records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.

  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by the employer or department manager, contributing to the overall functioning and success of the organization.
