Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop and Monitor Welfare Programs:
    Design and implement employee welfare initiatives, including health and wellness programs, counseling services, and maternity benefits, while ensuring full compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law 2006 and Labour Rules 2015 & 2022.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations by conducting awareness programs on PPE usage, machine guarding, sanitation practices, and fire safety measures. Maintain compliance with buyer Codes of Conduct and company policies.
  • Facilities and Amenities:
    Oversee the provision of essential workplace amenities, such as clean and hygienic dining facilities, restrooms, safe drinking water, and specialized support for pregnant or injured workers.
  • Employee Support and Conflict Resolution:
    Serve as a bridge between employees and management by addressing grievances, resolving conflicts, and providing counseling or referrals for personal and health-related concerns.
  • Training and Orientation:
    Deliver training sessions on labour laws, workplace safety, and buyer Codes of Conduct to ensure employees are well-informed. Facilitate comprehensive orientation programs for new hires to integrate them into workplace culture and practices.
  • Compliance Audits and Meetings:
    Coordinate preparations for compliance audits, ensuring all documentation and processes align with legal and regulatory requirements. Organize welfare committee and grievance meetings, document meeting minutes, and implement actionable outcomes to support continuous improvement.
