Establish and maintain regular communication and consultation to ensure harmonious relationships between factory management and workers.
Represent and communicate individual and collective worker grievances to management, facilitating prompt and effective resolution.
Understand workers’ perspectives and assist both management and employees in resolving differences through cooperation and mutual understanding.
Monitor industrial relations and proactively intervene during disputes to support resolution through dialogue and joint consultation.
Address wage and employment-related matters through collaborative discussions with management and worker representatives.
Promote sound and ethical labor–management practices.
Coordinate with the factory medical officer to ensure improved healthcare services and treatment for workers.
Encourage the formation of works committees, joint production committees, cooperative societies, and welfare committees, and oversee their effective functioning.
Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of worker amenities, including dining facilities, crèche services, clean and adequate sanitation, and safe drinking water.
Support management in administering leave with wages and explain leave policies and entitlements to workers, guiding them on proper application procedures and authorized absences.
Advise female workers on maternity leave procedures and benefits, track maternity leave cases, follow up on post-leave returns, and monitor the well-being of expectant and returning mothers.
Recommend initiatives to improve workers’ working and living conditions and enhance overall welfare.
Educate and brief workers on PPE usage, machine guarding, sanitation, occupational safety and health (OSH), and fire safety.
Perform duties as assigned by factory management from time to time.
